Hey friends! My name is Doreen, and I’m an adorable 1-2 year old terrier mix girl! I am both fully vaccinated and spayed, and I weigh around 17 pounds. I am crate trained, fully potty trained, and I am excellent at walking on a leash! I first came to The Cantu Foundation when I was rescued as a stray to be spayed, but I was such a sweet girl they decided to find me a home too. I’m so lucky! I love all people both big and small, and I love other dogs as long as we are given a proper introduction. It is unknown how well I do with cats, however.

Because of my rough upbringing, I have mild anxiety, but will warm up quickly to people as long as they are nice. I do not have separation anxiety, and I’m not a big cuddler, however I am very affectionate. Since I am still pretty young, I have a decent amount of energy and I love to play! I’m independent yet social at the same time. I’m not sure if I like public outings or events yet, and I am neutral about car rides.

My favorite things to do are sunbathe, play with my toys, and play with my foster dog siblings! If my foster parents had to describe me in 3 words, they would be independent, smart, and sweet! My ideal home can be pretty much anything as long as I have loving people to take care of me! Other dogs would be nice, but I am also fine to be the only dog. I love to sunbathe so a yard would be a bonus, but as long as there’s a sunny window or patio for me, I’ll be a very happy girl!
